COVID - 19 SAFETY PLAN

  1. The clinic will continue to provide most of its care via telehealth and only have patients come in for an exam if it is necessary.

  2. Patients will not be able to simply drop in for appointments. 

  3. All patients will be screened by a physician before in person appointments can be made.

  4. Patients who come in person will be asked to wear a mask or other facial covering such as a bandana. 

  5. Staff will wear a surgical mask when dealing with patients in person

  6. Physicians will wear surgical masks when attending patients in person.

  7. Physicians will wear other personal protection equipment such as face shields, gloves, and gowns when appropriate.

  8. Patients will be asked to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other patients and staff

  9. Patients will be instructed not to present for their appointments before the arranged time.

  10.  Shared equipment such as stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, otoscopes, baby scales,  and examination tables will be cleaned after each patient.

  11. Frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, telephones, keyboards, mice, pens, charts, cell phones, toys, bathrooms will be cleaned twice a day.

  12. Patients will be placed into a clean exam room as soon as possible on their arrival and the clinic will ensure that no more than 4 patients will be in the reception area at any one time. The front door will be locked and patients will be requested to remain outside or in their cars.  They will be contacted by the staff when there is room to accommodate them in the reception area.

  13. Staff and physicians will practice social distancing when working in the clinic.
